[ Bolin is back to show off the latest fruits of his labors, this time setting up in the square with Pabu for a new display of the Fire Ferret Circus. This also means the return of Bolin's circus barker mustache and costume. ]

Step right up folks and witness the Amazing Pabu performing fantastic feats!

[ And Pabu certainly does perform to his usual standard, walking on front legs for several steps before jumping through a hoop, climbing over the Ladder Of Doom. ]

Isn't he amazing folks?!

[ Later on, once Bolin has packed up the fire ferret circus he'll be opening up his journal for a different reason. ]

I kind of had a quick question. Does anyone know if there's a quick way to get a bunch of helmets, elbow pads and knee pads? Oh and skateboards and roller skates and stuff like that, too. 'Cause the skate park is getting closer to done and it'd kinda suck if people learning ended up hurting themselves.

[And Silver finds himself watching, despite being, well, Silver. Because honestly this is kind of fascinating! Pabu reminds him of a Furret, and he's never seen a Furret do tricks like that.]

[laughs a little] Does he do this a lot? How did you train him? [Because even Lyra probably couldn't get her Pokemon to do stuff like that and she's been praised as having a "golden touch".]

Mostly he does it when we're bored or needed money. [ He tosses Pabu some crackers, which the ferret starts nibbling on with gusto. ]

We'd just practice stuff that seemed fun and when he got it right I'd give him a treat.

Neat. [laughs a little as he watches the ferret. Non-Pokemon animals are kinda fascinating.] Back home we've got people who enter their Pokemon in athletic races, but that's just to make them stronger for battles. Usually. [it's why HE entered that one time, anyway. Or thought about entering.] I've never seen anything like this.

For battles? [ Bolin looks a bit appalled by the idea. ] I'd never put Pabu in a fight, he'd too little for stuff like that.

...So no one teaches their pets tricks just for fun where you're from?

Well, maybe some people do, but battling's a big deal in Johto so people put all their energy into that.
