Round 8 [Action + Voice]

[ Bolin is back to show off the latest fruits of his labors, this time setting up in the square with Pabu for a new display of the Fire Ferret Circus. This also means the return of Bolin's circus barker mustache and costume. ]

Step right up folks and witness the Amazing Pabu performing fantastic feats!

[ And Pabu certainly does perform to his usual standard, walking on front legs for several steps before jumping through a hoop, climbing over the Ladder Of Doom. ]

Isn't he amazing folks?!

[ Later on, once Bolin has packed up the fire ferret circus he'll be opening up his journal for a different reason. ]

[Voice]

I kind of had a quick question. Does anyone know if there's a quick way to get a bunch of helmets, elbow pads and knee pads? Oh and skateboards and roller skates and stuff like that, too. 'Cause the skate park is getting closer to done and it'd kinda suck if people learning ended up hurting themselves.

Yeah, they're real nasty when they're hungry. When I got Pabu away from it it tried to get me instead!

I wish I could learn more about the animals from your world. They sound very different from what I'm used to in mine. I hope you and Pabu weren't hurt at all, though.

Well I couldn't breath for a while but I ended up fine! [ This is the face of a kid who was starved for oxygen when he was young, Ami. ] And the animals in other worlds always seem really weird to me.

[As far as she's concerned, it's the face of a kid who seems pretty nice and friendly. Which is really what matters.

She turns to Pabu next. She seems to be somewhat used to the idea of speaking to animals.]

Do you do any other acts, too? I should be able to pay.

I think he can swing something... [ Bolin leans down and chitters something that could be nonsense except for the fact that Pabu runs over to his hoop set and does a little jump and lands on his front legs. ]

He's a natural performer, you know.

[It's Bolin who receives Ami's quick, surprised, look though.]

You can speak with him! [The girl who used to even speak to stuffed animals doesn't at all seem to find it difficult to believe Bolin has learned to talk to Pabu.

Of course, in Luceti, it's even more believable, really.]

Uh-huh. I kinda picked stuff up based on the noises he made. [ Beccause honestly when you're a kid with not many friends besides your brother you pick up stuff to keep occupied. ]

It's saved my butt more than once, I'll tell you.

I think it's amazing! I'd like to learn to be able to speak with him, too.
